Ishan Kishan also failed to convert his start and was run out for 12, leaving India struggling at 35 for 4.
With the innings in trouble, Tilak Varma and Axar Patel attempted to stabilize the chase through a valuable 39-run partnership. Their stand briefly shifted momentum before Matthew Hallard dismissed Axar, once again giving Ireland complete control of the contest.

Despite wickets falling regularly at the other end, Tilak Varma played one of the finest knocks of the match.
The left-hander remained calm under pressure and scored an impressive 55 from 46 deliveries, striking five boundaries and one six. His innings kept India’s hopes alive well into the final overs and demonstrated excellent temperament in a difficult run chase.
Tilak later found support from Shivam Dube as the pair added another useful partnership for the sixth wicket. Dube contributed 20 runs before falling to Matthew Humphreys at a crucial stage.
Unfortunately for India, no other batter managed to produce a significant contribution alongside Tilak. The lack of partnerships eventually proved decisive, leaving the visitors heartbreakingly short of the target.

With Ireland reduced to 48 for 3, Harry Tector and Benjamin Calitz produced the partnership that changed the course of the innings.
The duo added 65 runs for the fourth wicket, rebuilding the innings after the early setbacks. Calitz played aggressively, scoring 37 from just 23 balls, while Harry Tector anchored the innings beautifully with a composed 53 from 47 deliveries that included five boundaries and one six.
George Dockrell added another useful 19 runs towards the end, helping Ireland finish with a defendable score of 154.
Prince Yadav Impresses on International Debut
Although India lost the match, there were a few positives for the visitors.
Fast bowler Prince Yadav made an encouraging start to his T20 International career by claiming three wickets. His disciplined bowling helped prevent Ireland from posting a much bigger total.
Arshdeep Singh and Shivam Dube also picked up two wickets each, keeping Ireland under pressure during different stages of the innings.
Another debutant, all-rounder Suryansh Shedge, also received his first international opportunity as India experimented with its squad during the series finale.

India made multiple changes for the second T20, leaving Washington Sundar and Prasidh Krishna out of the playing XI.
